Bay Area residents Serena and Meldan Heaslip opted for a YouSolar PowerBloc®️ HOME™ to reduce their energy consumption from the grid by 75% and to be ready for earthquakes which rock northern California including the “Big One”. The home will be connected to the local utility with a SHIELD™ rectifier which will isolate the home from any and all grid-problems. Because the Meldan’s never send power back to the grid, the system requires no utility approval. After a major earthquake or storm when utility power is lost, the PowerBloc®️ continues to the deliver the same full power to the Meldan home, keeping everyone safe and comfortable.
