The PowerBloc®️ COMM™ is the ultimate solar+battery energy system for the commercial user. The COMM™ allows customers to switch to solar even when the local utility does not allow net metering. The high-power COMM™ can run air conditioners and works whether the grid is up or down — or where there’s no grid at all. With the PowerBloc®️ COMM™, the user won’t even notice when the utility power fails, returns, or a supplemental gen-set cycles on and off. No glitches, no interruptions, no matter what happens. Like all PowerBloc®️ models the COMM™ solar+battery system is built on an efficient and robust direct current (DC) power architecture. The system is modular and expandable. It can be installed by our channel partner or any trained solar technician using reliable and proven MC4 connectors for rapid and safe interconnections. Compact and lightweight power electronics make the COMM™ easy to ship and handle.

The use of bi-directional converters and an open architecture allow the COMM™ to use a wide variety of batteries. The system comes standard with 12 kWh LiFePObattery modules, but the system can also use other lithium-ion chemistries or even banks of lead-acid batteries based on user’s preferences between upfront costs or longer life cycles

Use Multiple Power Sources.

The PowerBloc®️ comes with a solar array which includes either traditional glass panels or YouSolar’s super light-weight FEATHER™ panels. Whether you choose glass or our FEATHER™ panels, each panel comes equipped with an integrated STEP™ DC-DC Micro-Converter, which creates a plug-and-play solar array which gives you totally flexibility of where you want to put your solar array or how many panels you want to use. The STEP™ also boost energy production of the array by up to 15%. You can expand the array at any time without any changes to the system. Want to add other power sources like wind, hydro or a fuel generator? Easy. Just add them with the EXTEND™ rectifier.

Energy costs from a YouSolar™ PowerBloc®️ are half that incurred with a diesel generator. With fuel prices rising from historic lows, savings will only get bigger. At today’s prices, diesel power for home or business costs at least 50 cents (USD) per kilowatt-hour, while power from the PowerBloc®️ can be as little as 20 cents (USD) per kilowatt-hour.
